Born October 4, 1914, in Green Mountain, NC, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Lydia Letterman McInturff. She was the wife of the late William Lawrence Kemp, who died in 1977.
Mrs. Kemp enjoyed gardening, bird watching, cooking and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Linda Louise and Peter Edwards of New Castle, DE; sons and daughter-in-law, Douglas Keith and Lori Kemp of Hanover, and Lester Leroy Kemp of Hampstead, MD; stepdaughter, Miriam Green of Westminster, MD; sister, Ruth Panebaker of Baltimore; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. January 3, 2012, at Eline Funeral Home, Hampstead, Rev. Dr. Melissa Rudolph officiating. Interment will be in Greenmount United Methodist Cemetery.
