She was the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Gussie Mae Overturf, and the wife of the late Robert C. Steele Jr. She and her family lived in Steele until moving six years ago.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Taylor of Memphis, Tenn., and Ann Slate of Granite City, Ill.; one sister, Mildred Cassidy of Coloma, Mich.; two brothers, Rayburn Overturf of Hot Springs, Ark. and A.J. Overturf of Dayton, Ohio; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Herbert Ketchum, Hans Greer, Frank Collins, Bert Poteet, Joe Saliba, and Pinnell Capehart.
