Albert Stowell, Sr. 79. of Jasper passed away Tuesday at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital in Nacogdoches, Texas.

A native and life long resident of Jasper, he was a graduate of Jasper High School. After over forty years, he retired as chief Marine Engineer with The Sealand Company. He was a member of The Marine Engineer Beneficial Association.

After retirement he became a missionary to India with the Voice of God Recordings out of Jeffersonville, Indiana. He loved his family and he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Sheila Dixon.

Survivors include his wife of over fifty-one years, Pansy Henson Stowell, his son, Albert Stowell, Jr. and wife Nora, his two daughters, Linda Craven and husband Richard and Brenda Frazier and husband Charles, special nephews, Richard Williams and Donald Ray Williams, fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper.

Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper.
