Virginia Brothers, 89, of Westminster, formerly of Gamber, died Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at Westminster Ridge. Born February 4, 1926 in Ellicott City, she was the daughter of the late Ella and Andrew Ritchie. She was the wife of the late Oscar Brothers who died in 1981.

Before retiring she worked as a secretary for Mechanicsville Elementary School. She was a Charter and Auxiliary member of the Gamber & Community Fire Co. She was also a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Harold "Buster" and Elaine Brothers of Apopka, FL, Gary and Mary Ellen Brothers of Landrum, SC, William "Billy" and Pat Brothers of Newport News, VA and Terry Brothers of Finksburg, a sister Ella Mae Boone and husband Clyde of Woodbine. Also, survived by 10 grandchildren,12 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law Maureen Brothers and brothers Tom Ritchie and William "Bill" Ritchie.
