Homer L. Swift, 79, of Frankfort, died Sunday, July 16, 2006 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.

Born Oct. 3, 1926 in Waverly, he was the son of Andrew Jackson Swift and Myrtle (Shinkle) Swift.

On June 24, 1944 he married Ruby Viola (Ford) Swift, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Ronnie Ford of Waverly, Homer Andrew Swift of Hillsboro and Stephen M. Swift of Chillicothe; three daughters, Dianna (Larry) Carroll of Chillicothe, Shirley (Eldon) Carroll of South Salem and Donna (Charlie) Helterbrand of Greenfield; and one sister, Isabel Long of
Alabama.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Andy Swift, Arnold Swift, Sam Swift, Earl Swift and Paul Swift; one sister, Louise Bucy; and both his parents.

He was a foreman with the DTI Railroad and a member of the Church of the Nazarene of Greenfield.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 20 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield.The Rev. John N. Nunley will officiate.
Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Frankfort.
