Mollie was born, one of eight children to James Lycurgus Reasonover and Elizabeth Jane Allison. She was raised on a small plantation near Alexandria, Tenn. Following the Civil War she relocated to Collin County Texas where she married Jackson Oliver Lewis December 05, 1878. They lived in the Melissa, Texas farming community until moving to a farm southwest of Farmersville, Texas. During the winter of 1911, Mollie fell on an ice covered wooden plank walkway leading to the smokehouse. She died of her injuries the next day.
