Wednesday, August 21, 1895

Elizabeth Hollingsworth, whose maiden name was Bush, departed this life August 15, 1895, at her home 3 miles west of Newport, IN. She was born in Washington County, IN, June 24, 1820. She was 75 years, one month, and 21 days. She was married to Wright Hollingsworth, January 10, 1840. To this union were born 11 children, 8 of whom are living - 5 boys and 3 girls. At the age of 16 she joined the Newlight Church of which she has been a consistent member ever since. She had not an enemy and was well liked by everyone. The deceased leaves behind one sister, 8 children, and a host of friends. The funeral was preached at the home of the deceased August 16, 1895, at 10 o'clock, after which the remains of mother Hollingsworth were quietly conveyed to the Thomas Cemetery and laid away there to await the call of him at whose command the earth and son shall give up their dead.
