Howard O'Neal "H.O." Watson, 95, formerly of the Needmore Community H.O. passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011 in Lubbock. He was born July 13, 1915 in Jemison, Alabama to Wilford and Mary (Martin) Watson.

He also attended school in Jemison. H.O. married Willadean Kirby on December 22, 1945 in Quanah. They moved to West Texas in 1949. He farmed the Pool Community in Terry County. H.O. served in the US Army Air Corp from 42-45. He loved retirement, fishing and his grandkids. He is preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers; a great granddaughter, Adisyn Calfin.

H.O. is survived by his wife Dean; 2 daughters, Charlotte (Wade) Gerner of Slaton and Marci Beasley and husband Mike of Lubbock; a son, David Watson and wife Karen of Arlington, WA; honorary son, Gary Ratliff and wife Billie Jo; a sister, Faye May of Polk City, FL; 7 grandchildren, Kimberly Hunter & Chad Watson of Anchorage, AK, Jennifer Calfin, Tonya (Michael) LaVere and Courtney (Lance) Wilson, all of Lubbock, Abby (Aaron) Cave and Todd (Jaclyn) Christianson of Arlington, WA; 8 great grandchildren, Brittany Hunter, Derek McNutt, Elisabeth and Colby LaVere, Daxx and Dallan Calfin, Allie and Cooper Wilson; 5 great-great grandchildren, Jayda and Jersey Hunter, and Christian, Henry and Lars Cave; numerous nieces and nephews.
