Mr. Beaty died Monday, Feb. 28, in Killeen.
He was born on Oct. 7, 1943, to James Earl and Lilly Bell Beaty in Bay City. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Xerox. He also worked for Central Texas College as an aircraft mechanic for the aircraft program. He was a member of the Fault Line Flying Club. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joy Ann Beaty in 1983.
Survivors include a son, Travis Beaty of Nolanville; two daughters Teresa Beaty-Sykes of North Richland Hills and Jerri Beaty-Moore of Austin; a brother, Ronald Earl Beaty of Francitas; his mother, Lilly Bell Pearce of Francitas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
