Mr. Rual Odom, 84, of Rt. 4, Atmore, died Tuesday, September 13 at a local hospital. Mr. Odom was a native of Escambia County, Ala. and a former resident of Lake
Wales, Fla. but had lived at Canoe for the past twenty years, and he was a member of the Canoe Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fronia Odom of Canoe; two sons, Rual Odom, Jr. of Lakeland, Fla. and Leo Odom of Atmore; four daughters, Mrs. Voncille Shipp and Mrs. Charlotte Donaldson, both of Canoe, and Mrs. Opal Smith and Mrs. Frances Crutchfield, both of Atmore; two brothers, Everette Odom of Bay Minette and Jim Odom of Atmore; four sisters, Mrs. Cora Creel and Mrs. Bessie Carlisle, both of Mobile, Mrs. Mary Grissett of Barnett's Crossroads and Mrs. Lucy Siembida of Pensacola; 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 15 from the Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Dock Bell and Donnis Bowman officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with the Flomaton Brown Service Funeral Home directing.
