Hilda Marie White, 61, of Lexington Park died on May 12, 1997 at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. Born on March 23, 1936 in Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Calip and Helen Handy White.
She was a lifelong resident of St. Mary's County and a member of St. Lukes United Methodist Church in Scotland.
Ms. White is survived by three children, Lamont C White, Quinton E White and Anthony R White, four brothers, Howard Shorter White, Calip Sydney White Jr, Preston White, and Francis White, three sisters, Margaret Barnes, Lena Gough and Virginia D. White; and eight grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Lance White , and a sister, Patricia "Patsy" White.
Funeral services were held at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Rev Leroy Boldley, pastor,
officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Arrangements were provided by Brinsfield Funeral Home in Leonardtown.
