Services for Carl Merrill will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Goodwin Funeral Home.
Mr. Merrill, 88, formerly of 1104 Myrtle Ave., died at 7:50 a.m. May 16, 1991, in Clinton House Convalescent Center after an extended illness.
Mr. Merrill had lived in Frankfort most of his life and had worked for the former USHCO, Carr. Cabinet and Wood Specialities. He had also worked for Gary Sheet & Tin in Gary 17 years and as a crossing guard for the old junior high school in Frankfort. He was a member of Hope United Methodist Church and Fellowship Sunday School Class.
He was born May 18, 1902, in Clinton County to Andrew J. and Grace Merrill. He married Edith Fern Bogan on February 26, 1921, and she died January 17, 1988.
Surviving are four sons; Wavern Leon "Bud" of Concord, VA., Doyal "Jake" of Greenwood, Francis A. "Frank" and Ronald W. of Kokomo; two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Helen) Erwin of Hobart and Evelyn D. Rowan of Memphis, TN.; a sister, Beulah White of Lafayette; 26 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Two daughters preceded him in death.
The Rev. Sheldon Grame will officiate services. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Goodwin.
