Carl Perry, 90, of Frankfort, died at 7:45 p.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2010, in the Old Town Friendly Rest, Frankfort, following an extended illness.

He was born April 27, 1920, Dunlow, WV, to the late Esau and Polly Maynard Perry. On August 5, 1940, he married the former Corda Irene Fry, who preceded him in death on August 5, 2005.

He is survived by their five children; twenty grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson, Mark Burns; brothers, Hobert, Melvin, Charles, Jesse, Anse, Curtis and Owen Perry; and sisters, Gracie Maynard and Lula Maynard.

Carl worked as a local farmer and retired from the B & O Railroad following 30 years and 1 day of service as a conductor. Carl served his country in the US Army from 1943-1946, Technician Fourth Grade, as an electrical arc welder. He was a member of Faith Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at Noon Saturday, September 11, at the Calvary Baptist Church, 2486 Anderson Station Rd., Chillicothe, with Pastor Brandon Lee and Pastor Tom Kramer officiating. Military graveside services, conducted by the Circleville AmVets Honor Guard, will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Garden. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 p.m. at HALLER FUNERAL HOME.
