Margaret Lavonia Armentrout

Funeral for Margaret Lavonia Armentrout, 84, of Decatur will be today at 3 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Archie Hampton officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Armentrout died Friday, May 30, 2003, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born July 15, 1918, in Vinton, Va., to James and Irma Karnes McCraw. Mrs. Armentrout was a member of Central Baptist Church and graduated from Radford College in Radford, Va., on Aug. 19, 1939.

She is survived by her husband, Jake Armentrout of Decatur; three daughters, Anita Ridge and Marie Glenn, both of Decatur, and Linda A. Sloan of Friendswood, Texas; five grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Glenn, Sandy Sloan, James Metcalf, Caleb Henson, Keith Ridge, Tag Glenn and Roger Henson.

Memorials may be made to the pre-school ministry at Central Baptist Church.
