He was born Sept. 15, 1917, in Max Meadows, Va., to William S. and Bess Danner Armentrout. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and a retired supply supervisor for 3M.
He is survived by three daughters, Anita A. Ridge and Marie A. Glenn, both of Decatur, and Linda S. Sloan of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Olan Armentrout of Max Meadows, Va., and James Armentrout of Gray, Tenn.; two sisters, Allene Collins of Abington, Va., and Margaret Ann Carper of Colonial Heights, Va.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Glenn, Keith Ridge, James Metcalf, Bill Sloan, Tag Glenn, Roger Henson, Ken Nelson and Royce Turney.
