Dora "Edith" Moore of Columbia, Mo., formerly of Wakulla County, died on Sunday, June 27, at Lenoir Health Care Center.

Visitation will be held at the Lake Ellen Baptist Church in Medart on Friday, July 2, from 10 to11 a.m. with funeral services immediately following. A memorial gathering for friends will be held in Columbia at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Shepard's Basket, c/o Calvary Baptist Church, 606 Ridgeway Avenue, Columbia MO 65203 or charity of choice.

She was born on Aug. 12, 1925 in Panacea, the daughter of the late Samuel Clayton Wommack (Born 2-15-1878 and died 8-21-1940)and Estelle Syfrett Wommack. She graduated from high school in Sopchoppy. She was united in marriage to Clyde Wellman in 1944, and two children were born of that marriage, Roma Wonneman and Vaughn Moray "Ray" Wellman. The family moved to Columbus, Ohio, and she worked at General Motors/Ternsted Division, becoming the first female timekeeping supervisor at that facility. She retired in 1981 from GM with 28 years of service. Following her retirement, she moved back to Wakulla County. In 1991, she married Oscar "O.S." Moore and they moved to Columbia to be near her daughter and family. While living in Columbia, Edith and O.S. attended Calvary Baptist Church, making many friends there. O.S. preceded her in death in 2006.

Survivors include a daughter, Roma and husband, Jack, of Columbia; her son Ray and his wife, Melanie, of Columbus; three grandsons, Robert (Evelyn) McHugh of Sturgeon, Mo., Morgan (Missy) Wellman of Plain City, Ohio, and Troy Mueller of Columbia; two great-granddaughters, Kaylee Wellman and Paige McHugh; and a great-great-grandson, Darius Robert McHugh.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by nine siblings.
