Death Claims A. W. Person
Graveside services for Arthur Whitehead Person, 88, of Louisburg, who died Thursday night in Franklin Memorial Hospital, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery by the Rev. Frank Pulley.
Mr. Person, a retired cotton buyer, was a lifelong resident of Louisburg where he had been in business for 65 years. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and was treasurer of the local fire department for more than 40 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Randolph Trow of Richmond, Va., and Mrs. Julian Heron of Chevy Chase, Md.; one son, James Arthur Person of Bakersfield, Calif.; and eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
