They moved to Wayne County in the spring of 1854 locating on a farm four miles northwest of Allerton. In the spring of 1891 they moved to Allerton, the present family home.
Mrs. Duncan was a life long member of the United Presbyterian church whose religion was manifest in her daily life. For many years Mrs. Duncan was in delicate health adn the end came gradually after days and months of suffering before her coronation.
She is survived by her husband and four children. The interment was made in the Allerton Cemetery. Funeral services conducted by her pastor in the United Presbyterian Church.
