Funeral services for S. C. (sic) Joyce, 43, of Fieldale, known to many friends
as Raleigh Joyce, were held Saturday at Old Well Church. He died Friday about
noon in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was an employee in the
Fieldale mills and had worked there for about 15 years. He is survived his
widow, and several children, all of Fieldale: Hattie May, Frank, Gaylord,
Howard, Elizabeth, Roy and several brothers: J. W. Joyce, G. W., T. G and J. D.
Joyce. One sister, Mrs. D. D. Jett of Kimbell, W. Va., survives.
