Mr. Cormier was a member of American Legion Post 133. He loved fishing, dancing, picking pecans and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Agles C. Cormier of Breaux Bridge; his daughter, Linda Fruge and her husband, Richard, Sr. of Breaux Bridge; his brother, Lennis Cormier and his wife, Mary of New Orleans; his sisters, Athelie Boutin, Anna Mae Cormier, and Beulah Blanchard all of Breaux Bridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Theresa Trosclair Cormier; and his brother, Francis Cormier.
