Rites Are Held for Mrs. Martha Nelson
Funeral services for Mrs. Martha E.
Nelson, 71 years old, who was for 27
years a resident of Billings; who died
Sunday, were held at Smith's funeral
home at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Interment
was in the Mountview cemetery. Mrs.
Kline Ward sand "Nearer My God to To
Thee," "When the Roll Is Called Up
Yonder," and "Lead Kindly Light." She
was accompanied by her husband.
Pallbearers were J. R. Goss, W. D.
White, and James Paterson members of
the G. A. R. and Thomas Kehoe, Fred
Burnstead, and William Ladd, Spanish
American war veterans. Mrs. Nelson is
survived by eight children, ?35 grandchil-
dren and 13 great-grandchildren. Mrs.
Nelson was the widow of Alvin Nelson, a
Civil war veteran.
