"Harriet Ann Ludwig, 21 of Marion Ohio, wife of Robert Ludwig, died in Columbus after a brief illness. Daughter of Irvine R. and Rebecca J. Monnette near Kirkpatrick; daughter in law of Mr. & Mrs. Cleo Ludwig also of Marion. Also survived by brothers John E. (Gladys), Paul I. (Anita), [HIDDEN] (Pauline) all of Marion, and sister Mary Jean (Seymour) Klein of South Euclid, Ohio. Granddaughter of Mrs. Hattie Dierdorf of Marion. A 1949 Graduate of Marion Harding High School, she was on the school homecoming court in the fall of 1948. Prior to Harding, she was a student at Kirkpatrick. She had complained of not feeling well Sunday, and was transported to Columbus after being found unconscious Monday morning by her mother. Mrs. Ludwig's husband was notified of her condition in California where he was awaiting deployment to Korea. He was with her when she passed. Her numerous friends are both saddened and shocked by her death. Results of the autopsy are still pending. Mrs. Ludwig was employed at the Marion County Bank. Services at Epworth M.E. Church, burial at Chapel Heights Memorial Gardens." ~Marion Star
