Lillie Mae Collins Danner Lawson
Lillie Mae Lawson, 88, of Woodlawn, died Sunday, June 22, 1997, at her home in Woodlawn.

Funeral services were Tuesday, June 24, at 2 p.m. at Vaughan-Guynn Chapel in Galax. Interment was in the West End Cemetery in Wytheville with Elder Joe McGrady officiating.

She was born in Wythe County on May 17, 1909, a daughter of the late Carter Braxton Collins and Mary Naomi Galyean Collins.

She is survived by her husband, Roy L. Lawson of Woodlawn; two stepsons and daughters-in-law, Mason and Katheryn Lawson of Galax, and R.F. and Zollie Lawson of Woodlawn; a sister, Ida C. Stoots of Sulfork; three grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pipers Gap Rescue Squad.

Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home in Galax was in charge of the arrangements.
