Dothan---- Mrs. Louise Adams Griffin, 88 of Midland City died Friday afternoon, February 27, 2009 after a lengthy illness at Extendicare Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. With visitation from 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. and followed by a brief graveside service at 1:00 P.M. at Memory Hill Cemetery, with Elder John Gause officiating.

Mrs. Griffin was born September 13, 1920 in the Antioch Community of Covington County. After graduating from Straughn High School, she married and moved to Dothan, where she raised four children. During the early 1960's and through the early 1970's she was the proprietor of The Fantasy Florist in Dothan. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She was preceded in death by her parents, E.C. and Virgil Lee Adams and her great-grandson Chance Griffin.

She is lovingly remembered by her four children, Wayne Griffin and his wife Edwina of Peachtree City, GA and Craig Griffin and his wife Roni of Abbeville, AL and Glenn Griffin of Dothan, AL and Joan Lamb and her husband Jerome of Midland City, AL. Louise has seven grandchildren; Brad Griffin of Panama City Beach, FL and Kim Carawan of Senoia, GA and Ashley Griffin-Middlebrooks of Panama City Beach, FL and Dr. Tara Walling of Panama City Beach, FL and Chris Horton of Marbury, AL and Amalee Segers of Mobile, AL and Justin Lamb of Panama City Beach, FL. Louise is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; Griffin, Crawford, Smith and Wil Segers of Mobile, AL, Sydney and Matthew Horton of Marbury, AL and Nicholas Lanoue of Senoia, GA.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Brad Griffin, Justin Lamb, Chris Walling, Robert Carawan and David Middlebrooks.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, Wiregrass Alabama Chapter, and In Memory of Louise Adams Griffin, 1501 N.W. 9th Avenue/ Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL 33136-1494.
