Genevieve Ortiz Romero, 87, a long time resident of Colorado Springs and Trinidad passed away on January 10, 2009 at Mount Saint Francis Nursing Home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Genevieve was born in Tercio, Colorado to Tobias and Manuelita Ortiz.
Genevieve was preceded in death by 2 sisters, a brother, a grandson and her husband of 58 years Albert Romero. She was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by a brother: Joe Ortiz; 6 daughters: Frances Poe, Elsie Vigil, Alice Corr, Theresa Romero, Karen Rodriguez (Chris), and Diann Carvill; 2 sons, Albert Romero (Donna) and Joe Romero; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
