Matilda "Tillie" Mauro, 77, died Wednesday in a Las Vegas hospital. She was born Jan. 4, 1921, in Providence, R.I., was a manager in a retail jewelry store and a 24-year resident of Las Vegas. She is survived by her son, Ronald Strange, and sister, Ernestine Braunroth, both of Las Vegas. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until services at 4 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary-Jones. Burial will be in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
