James Bearden, who states DOB as 10 May 1836, has a CSA pension application on line under Dawson County in the GA Archives. He says he enlisted as a private in Co. F of the 65th GA regiment. At the Battle of Chickamauga, GA he was wounded in the left hand. He lost his first and middle fingers on 20 Sept 1863. See GA Pension # 178668-00411. His pension was $10 per year.
