Homer Elwood Chilcote, small son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Chilcote, of Mapleton Depot R.D., passed way at his parents home in Hares Valley on Tuesday evening, February 22, 1938, at 5:45 o'clock. Death was due to complications following an attack of measles.

He was born in Hares Valley on September 4, 1935, and at the time of death was aged 2 years, 5 months and 18 days.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Chilcote, of Mapleton Depot, R.D., one brother, Ralph and two sisters, Nora Jane and Lorma Joan, all at home. His paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M.F. Chilcote and his material grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bouse Querry, of Mapleton Depot, R.D., also survive.

Private funeral services will be held at the Chilcote home in Hares Valley on Friday morning, February 25, 1938, at 10 o'clock, with the Rev. R. L. Fritz, officiating. Interment will be made in the cemetery at Bowman's Chapel. Green's funeral service.
