Wife of James Perdue. This OLDER photo was taken early 1980's while visting in Elmore, Ohio. After all these years, I was not certain about the identity as the text from the photo is very hard to read. I contacted a very nice lady who went back to the cemetery, verified the marker is still there, had a newer photo and then did place the better copy online, Thanks so much, thought this stone may no longer have existed.
PLEASE NOTE:
This is NOT the Sarah that was also supposedly married to William H. White. Sarah Luman, wife of James Perdue died in Ranson, Michigan at the home of her daughter where she resided. James Perdue died in 1858 and supposedly a Sarah Luman married William H. White in 1856.
The Sarah that marrid William H. White was born 1832, and died 1902 and buried at Mt Zion Cemetery and is not the same Sarah Luman Perdue buried at Harrington Cemetery as shown here.
