Died
In Hood River, Sunday, July 30, Hulda E., wife of W. V. Johnson of the East Side. Funeral services and burial were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Pine Grove cemetery.
While Mrs. Johnson had been a sick woman since last fall, her death came suddenly. Mrs. Johnson was born in Ohio, June 8, 1847. She lived there until 11 years old, when she moved with her parents to Iowa. She remained in that state for 17 years, and lived in Nebraska and Montana before coming to Hood River. She was married to M. V. Johnson in 1866. To this union eight children were born, five of whom are living. They are J. M. Johnson, Moro; J. W. Johnson, Heppner; H. C. Johnson, Winlock, Wash; O. C. Johnson, Moro, and Gertrude of Hood River.
