DEATH OF MRS MASON
An Exemplary Woman Passes to the Great Beyond
Mrs. Annerretta Mason, wife of Alva Mason, died at her home in Kirkville last Friday morning, of pneumonia.
Mrs. Mason was 52 years of age and a native of Ohio. She married Alva Mason in her native home 29 years ago, a few years afterward they removed to Montana and located in the Bitter Root valley, where they resided until three years ago when they settled in Kirkville. The deceased was an exemplary woman and all through her life she was a devout christian and a member of the M. E. church since early girlhood.
Mr Mason is afflicted with the same complaint that ended the life of his beloved wife. Thought there is some hope of his recovery, it is his desire to die. So attached was he to the companion of his life that he prefers death to life without her.
Mr. and Mrs. Mason had no children and their entire estate has been willed to Fred Byron, a nephew, who is also sick and was at Boulder Hot Springs at the time of Mrs. Mason's death.
The funeral for Mrs. Mason occurred from the M.E. church Easter Sunday at 2 o'clock. Rev. J.J. McAllister preached the funeral ceremony, after which the remains were followed to the Philipsburg cemetery by a large concourse of sorrowing friends and acquaintances.
