Lucius O. Matthews, who has been sick with pneumonia for the past several weeks passed away at his home in Barrett, Kansas on Sunday, January 22, 1911 at about 1:00 p.m. at the age of about 70 years.
Mr. Matthews was an old resident of the Barrett neighborhood, having moved here from Nebraska in 1884. His wife having preceded him in death only a week ago.
He is survived by two sons, Cecil E. Matthews, Riverton, Nebraska and Loren Matthews, Barrett, Kansas; three daughters, Mrs. F.K. Barrett, Winifred, Kansas, Miss
Cora Matthews and Mrs. Ethyl Matthews, Barrett, Kansas; and several grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Barrett Church at 2:00 p.m.
