OBITUARY - Wapello Tribune, Wapello, Louisa County, Iowa, Thursday, November 6, 1913:
Word reached this city last week of the death of Mrs. Will McGill, which occurred Tuesday, October 28th, at her home in Phoenix, Arizona. Deceased was born and raised in this city and was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Benson. She was united in marriage about nine years ago to Will McGill, the son of D. P. McGill, and resided here until about five years ago when they removed to Phoenix, where Mr. McGill operated a meat market. Mrs. McGill was a stout, healthy woman when she removed from Iowa, but fell a victim of tuberculosis of the lungs and passed away at the age of twenty-nine years, leaving the husband and two daughters, aged seven and eight years, besides her parents and a number of brothers and sisters to mourn. The funeral services were held last Friday, with interment in the Phoenix cemetery.
