"Greece, NY - Eleanor B. Betlem died Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at age 93. Predeceased by beloved husband, Frederick Betlem; son, David Betlem; daughter, Paula Betlem; brother, Frederick Bonnet. Survived by daughter-in-law, Anne Betlem; grandson, Todd (Chrissy) Betlem; granddaughter, Deborah (Keith) Anderson; great-grandson, Kaelan Anderson; brother, Paul Bonnet; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. After graduating from Suny Geneseo Eleanor taught in the Greece School District for over 35 years, where she became known as "The Management". Eleanor was a dedicated teacher and made many friends; we never went anywhere that she didn't run into a former student or parent. She was fearless in stating her opinions. Eleanor was a fantastic cook and shared her talent with family and friends often. She had a jest for life, enjoying her family, sewing, bridge, travel, theatre, Syracuse Basketball and the Arts. We will miss her quick wit and infectious laugh. Friends may call Friday (March 22nd) 4-7 PM at Vay-Schliech and Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road, where his family prayers will be held at 7:00 PM. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in her memory." (Published by the Rochester Democrat And Chronicle on Mar. 17, 2019)
