Funeral services for Mrs. Anzenetta (Lane) Ramsey, 91, formerly of Maddensville, were held in the Walnut Grove Church in Maddensville on Friday afternoon, Feb. 28. The Rev. Richard Meyers and the Rev. C.N. Greider officiated. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Ramsey passed away at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 1947, at the home of her daughter Nayrue Woodruff, Washington, D.C., after a short illness. She was the daughter of Abraham and Eveline (Wagner) Lane. She was united in marriage with Chalmers Ramsey of Maddensville. He proceded her in death. The following sons and daughters survive: Mrs. Bertha Berlin, Mrs. Emma Hughes and Leo Ramsey, all of Harrisburg; Mrs. Nayrue Woodruff, Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Laura Wible, Meadow Gap; Howard Ramsey, Robertsdale; Floyd Ramsey and Mrs. Alda Brown, Maddensville; and Luther Ramsey, Round Rock, Texas. Three daughters, Viola, Ruth and Effie, are deceased. Other survivors are: 37 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Larkin Lane of Rockhill; and two sisters, Mrs. Alda Postleweight of Harrisburg and Mrs. Joseph Lamberson of New York City. A brother and a sister, Scott Lane and mrs. D. W. Doyle, preceded Mrs. Ramsey in death. Mrs. Ramsey lived most of her life in Springfield Township. She was a member of the Walnut Grove Church.
