This farm near Selea was once owned by Peter Hess, ancestor of Gladfelter. After Peter Hess' s second wife Sarah Hayes Hess property was sold to Richard Madden, whose daughter Jane B. Park, and so my Park great- grandparents lived on the same Peter Hess and some of his children are buried in the cemetery Old School Primitive Baptist Church, where many Lanes are buried.
