Peter's biological parents were Steve and Pearl Zoroslak. In 1907, Mrs. Zoroslak (Pearl) passed away. Steve then placed the children in private homes while he worked to support them. The children were separated at this time, as no place could be found to keep them together.
In about 1910, Elia Harasym and his wife Anna Czapski adopted Sophie Zoroslak, who was five years old at the time. In 1913 [sic 1915], Mr. Harasym passed away. His widow then married Steve Zoroslak in 1914. This reunited the Zoroslak children, Sadie, Sophie and Peter.
Steve Zoroslak passed away in 1939, and Mrs. Zoroslak (Haraysm) in 1942.
Sadies married and moved to the USA in the early 1920's. All contact with her has been lost.
Sophie married Mike Willisko.
