Services for Bessie C. Aaron (nee Cooks) were held Oct. 28 at the Goodman-Bensman Funeral Home, 5831 W. Burleigh St.
Mrs. Aaron, 82, resided with her husband, Nathan, a professional musician, at 3622 N. 51st St. She died Oct. 27 at St. Anthony's Hospital following a stroke. She had been in a coma for several weeks.
She was a member of Congregation Anshe Sfard and its Sisterhood, and was active in many other organizations.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Phillip of Miami, Fla., and Gordon P. of Glendale; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Zuckert of Glendale, and Miss Leah I. Cooks of Milwaukee; and two grandchildren.
Rabbi David S. Shapiro officiated. Interment was at Second Home Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Congregation Anshe Sfard will be appreciated by the family.
