Nathan Aaron, violinist and violin teacher, died on July 16. He was a resident of the Milwaukee Jewish Home, 1444 N. Prospect Avenue.

During his 60 years of teaching, Aaron had thousands of violin students. He and his son, Phillip, now of Miami, performed together in a violin recital Jan. 13, 1946. at the Athenaeum, 813 E. Kilbourn Ave. A newspaper announcement of the event said, "The father and son have been appearing together for many years and have won the esteem of many audiences in Milwaukee and this part of the country." It also said that the elder Aaron had composed some of the music they played.
In 1957.

Aaron received the Milwaukee Boys' Club Man and Boy award for his teaching there.

A native of Johnstown, Pa., Aaron studied in New York and Chicago. He came to Milwaukee to teach violin at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. He played with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

He gave private violin lessons and also taught in the public school systems of Milwaukee, Shorewood and Wauwatosa.

He was a member of the Milwaukee Musicians' Association and of Congregation Anshe Sard. Previously, he was a member of Congregation Beth Israel.

He is survived by two sons, Phillip and Gordon of Glendale; and two grandchildren, Lynn of Austin, Texas; and David of Minneapolis.

His wife. Bessie, died in 1978.

Funeral services were held at Second Home Cemetery. The family requests that any memorial donations be given to Congregation Anshe Sfard.
