Carroll Richard Dalton "Ham" passed away on Monday morning at home surrounded by his loving family.

Carroll was born in Carlock, TN on April 23rd, 1946, to the late Garrett Harden Dalton and Johnnie Ledford Dalton.

He was united in marriage to Marilyn Ellis on July 26th, 1964. They had one daughter, Lisa Marie Dalton, who was the joy of his life.

Carroll was the owner of D and D Tree Service for the past 30 years and before that worked several years at UPS. Carroll was known by his nickname from childhood as "Ham", which followed him all his life. Ham loved spending time with his wife, Myrt, who was the love of his life, and he never met a stranger. He loved being with his family, gardening, hunting, fishing, and working with his hands. He loved the Lord with all his heart and loved discussing the Word. He and his wife were affectionately known as Poppa Ham and Nanny Myrt to everyone.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann Carver.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marilyn Dalton; one daughter, Lisa Marie Hughes and her husband Max Hughes of Cleveland; two beloved grandsons, Dalton (Ashley) and Trey; two great grandsons, Luke and Aiden; great granddaughter, Paige; brothers, Garrett Dalton, Terry Dalton (Jeanette) and Robert Dalton; sisters, Teresa (Roger) Norwood and Janice (Carl) Ledford. He is also survived by several special nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 2 pm at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Street Chapel with Pastor Kevin Mendel officiating with Ham's good friend, Willard Graham, eulogizing Ham's life.
