William "Lee",65 of Baytown passed away at Methodist Hospital in Houston, surrounded by his wife, daughters and friends.

He retired fron JISD in 2000, having taught and coached there for ten years. His career spanned thirty three years having taught and coached at Channelview ISD and Sheldon ISD. He lived in Jasper until last summer when he and his wife moved to Baytown.

Survivors include his wife Charlotte; four daughters, Mila Edwards, Rachel and husband Keith Rawls, Keri and husband Trey Hough and one son Jim and wife Lisa Dorgan; grandchildren Payton and Draven Rawls, Josh and Ty Cook and Kyle and Daniel Houg and Matthew, David and Mark Kalata.

Funeral services for Lee Edwards, 65, of Baytown will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Lee passed from his earthly life March 23, 2008 at the Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX surrounded by his wife, daughters , sisters, and friends. He retired from Jasper ISD in 2000, having taught and coached there for ten years. His career spanned 33 years having taught and coached at Channelview ISD and Sheldon ISD. He lived in Jasper until last summer when he and his wife moved to Baytown. He is survived by his wife Charlotte Dominy Edwards of Baytown, three daughters, Teresa Edwards of Midland, TX, Mila Edwards of Tyler, Rachel Rawls & husband Keith of Jasper, stepdaughter Keri & husband Trey Hough of Highlands and stepson Jim & wife Lisa Dorgan of Murietta, CA, two sisters Trecia Trigg & husband Johnny of Alvarado, TX and Kathryn Foster & husband Donald of Fort Worth, grandchildren, Payton & Draven Rawls of Jasper, Josh & Ty Cook, Kyle & Daniel Hough of Highlands and Matthew, David & Mark Kalata of Murietta,CA.
