Ann Herman Rosenberg, 94, passed away March 7 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.
Ann was born on July 26, 1928, in Jefferson City, MO, to David and Ethel Herman. She was the oldest of five siblings and had a close relationship with her family throughout her life.

Ann married Leonard Rosenberg in 1950, and together they raised five children. Leonard passed away in 1983, and Ann continued to lead a fulfilling life, surrounded by her children.

Ann is survived by her sons, Steven (Bracha z"l) of Raleigh, NC; Richard (Jamee) of Palatine, IL; Michael (Lisa) of Brampton, Ontario, Canada; Mark of Peoria; and daughter, Janet Rosenberg of Peoria.

She is also survived by brothers Robert (Roberta) Herman, Kansas City, MO; Allen (Barbara) Herman, Jefferson City, MO; sister Reva (William) Egherman of Champaign, IL; and brother-in-law Frank Roth of Portland, OR. She was preceded in death by her sister Faye Roth of St. Louis, MO.

Ann was an active member of the Peoria League of Women Voters.

Ann was proud to be the oldest and longest tenured member of the Anshai Emeth Temple.

Ann was a "woman of valor," Eshet Chayil," in Hebrew. The phrase comes from Proverbs 31 and praises qualities of an ideal Jewish woman. Ann took pride in baking the best challah, cooking delicious dinners for her family, and lighting the Shabbat candles on Friday night.

She was a 1948 graduate of Stephens College.

She was an avid reader. During Covid isolation, she read history books and enjoyed sharing stories about George Washington's life with family and friends.

Ann celebrated her 94th birthday in July 2022 with a party of 75 people.

Interment will be at Peoria Hebrew Cemetery.
