Mr. Slaton died Sunday at Greenwood-Leflore Hospital following a short illness. A 12-year resident of Greenwood, he was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Mann Slaton of Greenwood; four daughters, Mrs. Jack Overton of Hurricane, W. Va., Mrs. John Williams of Grenada, Mrs. Ray Ugolina of Greenville and Mrs. Fred Evans of Boyle; four sons, Marvin Slaton, Paul Slaton, Bud Slaton and Bobby Slaton of Greenwood and a sister, Mrs. Art Mullins of Harrisville.
Pallbearers will be E. C. Wiggins, James Larry Wiggins, Kenny Wiggins, Herman Wiggins, Thomas Wiggins and Erby Montgomery.
