Jeanne Slosson, 88, of Bridgman passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Countryside Nursing Home in South Haven. She was in the care of South Haven Hospice.
A celebration of her life will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at Papa Vino's in St. Joseph. Jeanne will be laid to rest at Ruggles Cemetery in Baroda.
Jeanne was born on Dec. 24, 1929, to George and Ailene Weber in Benton Harbor. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School. She married John Wells Slosson, and they had two children, Mark R. Slosson and Karol Ann (Slosson) Doolin. She was a stay-at-home mom during their younger years. She worked at Industrial Rubber, Goldblatt's, Creative Foods and the Whitcomb Towers in later years.
Jeanne will be missed by her children, Mark R. (Mary Healy) Slosson and Karol Ann (Slosson) Doolin; three grandchildren: Scott R. Slosson, Santa Ana, Calif.; John Nathan (Valeri) Doolin and John Michael Doolin of Bowling Green, Ky.; great-granddaughter, Everly Rose Doolin; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ailene Weber; her twin daughters, Debra and Donna Slosson; her former husband, John Wells Slosson; her brother, Chuck Weber; her sister, Jacqueline; and her half brothers: Harley Weber, Melvin Weber and Al Weber."
