Son of Jacob and Elizabeth (Hoffer) Ceaser. Born in Northlumberland County, Pennsylvania November 14, 1814. He came to Gratiot County in 1854 and settled on section 24 Fulton Township.
In April 1840, in Wayne Co., Ohio, he married Miss Angelina Cane, a native of that county. She died about 1845. Feb. 18, 1848 Mr. C. married Catherine Brodbeck. She was born in Maryland, September 20, 1832. Mr. and Mrs. Ceasar have had seven children, six of whom servive: James F., Matildia A., Sarah C., Alma G., Alvin A., Ida A., and Eda A. Alma G. died when two months old.
