Funeral Services Held for Miner
Hawthorne – Funeral services were held Jan. 6 in Mina for Clay Coveney, well known mining man. Burial was in the Mina cemetery.
Mr. Coveney, who was born in Herring county, Michigan, Nov. 27, 1882, had been a southern Nevada resident for more than 10 years.
From 1917 to 1938 he engaged in mining in districts near Tonopah, including Gilbert. He had made his home in Mina since 1938 and had been a prospector and miner in that area. He died Jan. 3.
