Jane, the wife of Isaac Lang, of Grant, died Tuesday night of dropsy. Mrs. Jane Lang was the daughter of James Friend, of Orford, Ont., and was married to Mr. Lang Oct. 21st, 1873, at Ridgetown, Ont., and leaves a husband and five children - three girls and two boys. The youngest is 11 in August. Mrs. Lang was a member of the M. P. church and died very happy. A few minutes before she expired she talked with Mr. Lang and her children, telling the children they had better retire as they were sleepy. Deceased was 40 years old March 31 last and had been confined to her bed for some three months. The funeral was held at their residence Friday noon and the remains laid at rest in the Grant cemetery.
