A celebration of Paul Whitton's life, age 75 of Jasper, will be 2:00pm on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, Texas with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:30pm – 2:00pm before the service at the funeral home.

Paul was a native of Pineland and a longtime resident of Jasper. At thirteen years of age, Paul began his trucking career that lasted over 45 years. An active man, he enjoyed going fast. He enjoyed racing cars and trucks and turning on two wheels. He loved his family dearly.

He is survived by his wife of over 58 years, Bennie Whitton of Jasper; two daughters, Shenna Beddingfield & husband Don of Jasper, Sjolana Brown & husband Clay of Jasper; sister Betty Jo Bebee & husband Louis, also of Jasper; six grandchildren, Jason Beddingfield & wife Tracy, Damon Beddingfield & wife Ashley, Brandi Beddingfield, Ruston Johnson & wife Natalia, Jaselyn Johnson , and Shaeli Brown; and five great grandchildren, Alora, Trevor, Jaycee, Axton, Journee and Emme Jo coming in July.

He was preceded in death by his parents K. P. and Bessie Whitton; and his brother Calvin Whitton.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
