Nora Madeline Donnelly Hickey Markle was born June 23, 1899 in Wentworth, Ontario, Canada the youngest child of Civil war veteran James Donnelly and his second wife Mary Waugh Donnelly. She had three sisters and one half sister. The family was Catholic.
On September 29, 1919 she married Harald Anthony Hickey in York, Ontario. Sometime after his death in 1966, she remarried, to a Mr. Markle. She had no children.
Nora died at age 101 on November 23, 2000 in Toronto, Ontario. Like her first husband she is buried in Section 29, Grave 45, Row 4 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Toronto. (Harold died and was buried, and Nora was cremated, with her urn buried on top of Harold.)
