EARLY MORGAN RESIDENT DIES

Chas. W. Taggart Passes At Age of 79 At Home In Ogden

Charles Wallace Taggart, aged 79, resident of Richville, Morgan County, for many years, died this morning at 7:30 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R, J. Jones, of Wilson Lane.

He was born on March 19, 1852, in Iowa, a son of George W. and Fanny Parks Taggart, and was carried across the plains in his mother's arms, reaching Salt Lake in September, 1852. After his marriage to Mary Seamon in the Endowment House, Salt Lake, he moved to Richville and lived there until the death of his wife in 1928.

Since that time he had made his home with his daughter. He was an active member of the L. D. S. Church and at one time was a member of the bishopric of South Weber Stake.

Surviving are five sons and five daughters: Mrs. J. Y. Barlow American Fork; Mrs. R. P. Jones Wilson Lane; Mrs. W. J. Bowman Leon S. Taggart and Jasper S, Taggart, Aberdeen, Ida.; George S. Taggart, Sterling, Ida.; Jerome S. Taggart. Melville, Ida. ; Mrs, J. S. Hayes, Georgetown, Ida.; Mrs. Samuel Mills, Bothwell, and Donald S. Taggart. Salt Lake. Forty-two grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive.

FUNERAL RITES SET

OGDEN—Funeral services of Charles Wallace Taggart, 79, who died Wednesday, will be held Sunday at 2 p. m. in the Fourth Ward Chapel. The body may be viewed at the Malan Funeral Chapel Friday until 4 p. m. and later at the home of a daughter, Mrs. R. J. Jones, in Wilson Lane. Interment will be in the Ogden City cemetery.

Charles Wallace Taggart, 78, died at his residence, Wilson Lane, Wilson, Weber County, Utah of myocarditis, on January 28, 1931.

He was born on March 19, 1852 in Iowa, the son of Fanny Parks Taggart and George Washington Taggart. He married Mary Seaman. He was a retired farmer at the time of his death. He was predeceased by his wife.

Interment was made in the Ogden City Cemetery on February 31, 1931. Malan Funeral Home handled the funeral arrangements.
